Frequently Asked Questions for Counselors in Great Falls, MT

How often will I need to attend counseling in Great Falls?

I ask that clients commit to a consistent weekly schedule when they begin at Nourish Wellness Therapy in Great Falls, MT. Research proves that weekly therapy sessions are most impactful, and I am all about the healing in the most efficient way!

What does the first session look like?

Following your free 15 minute consultation, if you decide to continue with Nourish Wellness Therapy, you will immediately receive access to your online HIPAA-compliant client portal where you will complete a Learning Style Assessment, History Questionnaire, and Client Information form. I will review these documents prior to our initial session so that we can make the most of our time together. We will focus on identifying your concerns and stressors, and then clarifying your goals for treatment. Following our session, I will draft a treatment plan that we will discuss at our next session together.

How long will I be in therapy in Great Falls?

You might be wondering how long therapy will take, or, at least, how long before you feel better. As your Great Falls counselor, your goals are my goals. And I don’t want you to be in therapy forever. So through weekly sessions and a custom treatment plan utilizing my most effective strategies, we will work toward those goals in the most efficient way possible. On average, my clients reach initial goals in 4-6 months attending sessions weekly.

It is important to note, however, that many of the emotions, trauma, expectations, and self-concept that brought us to therapy were developed over a long period of time. I urge you to give yourself grace through this process. Yes, you - the perfectionist, overachiever, rule-follower. Let therapy be imperfect.

Do you have evening appointments?

Many of my clients are working professionals with busy schedules, so I do offer a limited number of Monday evening sessions.

If all evening sessions are currently full, please keep in mind that I offer telehealth therapy via a HIPAA-compliant video platform that also works well for clients with limited availability.

What if something comes up and I have to cancel my session?

If a scheduling conflict arises with a client’s usual session day/time, we will work to reschedule within the same week.

Do you take insurance?

My driving force for opening a private therapy practice in Great Falls, MT was to establish a unique therapy experience that is focused on client outcomes and growth, coupled with creative and efficient strategies that make sense for my clients and their individual needs. I go to great lengths to insure client confidentiality, and to avoid labeling clients with a diagnosis, at the mandate of insurance providers.

For the reasons above, I have chosen to not bill insurance on behalf of my clients. If you desire to involve your insurance company, I can provide you with a super-bill at your request that you may submit to your provider for potential reimbursement.

How do I get reimbursed from my insurance?

If reimbursement is a necessity for your continued care, please contact your insurance provider prior to our first session and ask if you will be eligible for reimbursement from an out-of-network provider for the following codes:

90837 (60 minute session)

90791 (Intake)

I can provide you with a monthly “super-bill”, which is a detailed invoice, that you will be able to submit to your insurance provider. Often, deductibles must be met before reimbursement begins.

What do sessions cost?

Individual sessions begin at $165 per session. Couples sessions are $200 per session.
